My Top Bags in 2019 (cross-body edition)

Some of you ask me on my Instagram, which are my favourite bags. Well first of all, my bags are like babies to me – I can’t really say ” Oh I know for sure that my Birkin is my favourite one” as all of my pieces have their own “charm” almost “personality”. They are by my side during whatever mood I may be in and simply make me happy. I am not about always having the most expensive piece on – for me it is like perfume, I find myself in phases were I wear more one compared to others.

So, as this year has been rolling by super fast – figured I share with you my top 4 bags.

Since I work full time and don’t always have the time or even mindset to take pictures – you may not have noticed these pieces as much on my posts. Nonetheless, I wanted to share them with you.

This post is about bags that have a strap, which you could wear cross-body. I think tote bags cannot be compared as much to cross-body bags because they have a different purpose when you wear them, thus I will make a separate post for them.

• CHANEL – Black Caviar Leather with Gold Hardware

This bag seems to be one of the most worn bags in general. Whenever I travel, chances are about 90% that this bag will come with me. The perks of this baby are its’ resistance to all kinds of weather or spills, the amazing classic look, the amount of things that fit in it and its versatility. I can style this bag with all sorts of looks. This classic piece is definitely one that belongs to us fashionistas – it is worth it!

• Dior Saddle – Medium Size in Bleu Oblique

Since I bought the saddle, I have been obsessed with it. I love it’s style, the look and feel. Plus every time I wear it, I feel like my looks are just popping. It is definitely an eye catcher and I keep getting so many compliments for it. Some of you might think that the pattern is a bit limiting in terms of styling options but I find this not to be the case. That is why, this bag is one of my babies that has been taken out the most this year. One plus, I have found it to be extremely resistent and deepening if you want to wear the strap or not, you can make it look extremely sophisticated or a bit edgy. LOVE IT!

• Gucci Marmont – Small Size in Fuchsia

This seems to be the most popping bag on this list with its very bright color. What can I say, this bag simply makes me happy 🙂 The texture is amazing and since it is single coloured I think it is an all rounder. I love wearing it with very dark outfits to because it adds some fun. The velvet is so soft and beautiful and I think it has such a nice girl vibe to it. As I am very tall, I always have to be careful with straps but the strap of this bag has the perfect length to wear it comfortably cross-body. The price is also very fair.

• Lady Dior – Large Size with Black Patent Leather and Gold Hardware

Last but not least, the beautiful classic lady Dior. It has been dormant for a while in my closet but as explained earlier – I have phases and during each phase I rediscover some items in my closet. The Lady Dior has exactly been one of them and what can I say – this bag is so chic with the patent look and fits so much inside (it is the large after all) that I love wearing it. I’ve also noticed that not too many people have the lady in black patent leather and that’s also nice – it is a little more unique. Because of the texture, this bag is one that I wear more with classic, feminine looks. Definitely a stunner and a classic must have.

Now, what do these bags all have in common? They have gold hardware. It must be a thing for me this year to be more focused on golden accessories but other than that, all of the above mentioned pieces do have their own style.
