My Latest CHANEL Bag

How have you been? I know, the COVID-19 outbreak has not made it easy for many of you – thus, I really hope you and your loved ones are fine!

Now, coming to something that hopefully lifts your mood up a bit (including mine), as we all need that these days …. my latest Chanel bag.

It has been a while since I last purchases a Chanel handbag, be it because they didn’t have the color/model they wanted or even the prices that they are asking for. I’ve been lucky enough, to get this piece right before the price increase got announced by Chanel on May 11th, 2020. Even though, stores were closed all around the world, I managed to get my hands on this beauty as my Birthday came near on May 8th.

Luckily, I have a very good relationship with an SA at Chanel Boutique in Zurich as well as with the store manager. They went into the store, to get this beauty shipped to me just in time! Of course, we also need to add, I was very lucky to get this baby as the store had only purchased one piece – which happened to be exactly what I wanted.

A little bit of background to all of you. Maybe you may have noticed, that I really love Chanel handbags but for reasons mentioned earlier on, I didn’t buy one recently. However, back in December 2018, I first laid my eyes on the Chanel top handle bag – also known as Trendy. Since I am a very tall girl, I usually always go for bigger sizes as simply the thought of having a “small” bag on me, doesn’t make sense. So back in December 2018, when I first looked at this model, I only considered the “medium” size. I loved the bags, especially the black and gold one with chevron pattern but it didn’t feel right that time. Now I know why, I really needed the bag in the small size to fall in love.

After that time, I didn’t think much of the top handle Chanel bag as I got some other beautiful goodies in between until I hit the Chanel Boutique in Zurich again in September 2019. As some of you know, I am a big fan of red. Although I haven’t posted many of my red bags on my Instagram Account lately, I do have red Chanels. Thus, my encounter with the “trendy” back then – but in the small size came fully unanticipated. That’s when I realised, that the small size was going to be my size but after careful considerations, in black leather with gold hardware.

So, now you can find some pictures of my new baby below. I am curious to hear what you think of it. Just on a last note – some of you will say I should have gone for the red Chanel bag – I simply believe that the black and gold bag will be timeless and go all year around with my outfits. It can be worn casual and classy – it has simply the best mix, with its handle as well as long chain.
